Post-16 Courses

We are a relatively small Sixth Form, but we offer a wide range of courses and we work closely with students to ensure courses suit their needs and abilities.  Students may study 4 straight A Levels and others may choose Level 3 BTEC options or a mixture of both.  We also offer GCSE re—sit in both English and Mathematics for students who have not yet attained a C grade (our Springboard course - click here for more information).  There are also opportunities to take part in work experience placements.  All students study full time, which requires an agreed programme to include a minimum of approximately 600 hours of timetabled activities throughout Year 12 and 13.

As a general guide, the entry requirements into Sixth Form are 5 A*-C grades at GCSE, with at least C grades in the specific subjects students wish to continue, or in subjects with similar skills requirements in the case of new subjects which were not offered at GCSE) . Maths, Sciences, Languages and Psychology all require a minimum of B grades at GCSE in relevant subjects.

All subjects are offered subject to there being sufficient interest and are, therefore, not guaranteed, as yet, for 2017-18.
