Year 6 Welcome

Dear Year 6

We are really glad that you have chosen to come to Boroughbridge High School and we look forward to meeting you. As we don’t know exactly when that will be, we have put together this information to introduce you to some of the people you will meet when you join us.

Miss Stephenson is our Headteacher. Miss Stephenson is looking forward to welcoming you to Boroughbridge High School and helping you to be the best person that you can be.

Mrs Donnelly is our Pastoral Manager for Year 7 so will be the person you will go to if you have any worries or concerns. You can also tell her about the good things that happen such as when your football team wins or when you are in a show.

Mrs Godsell Wright is our Associate Assistant Head who is in charge of Student Experience and Welfare. You will see lots of Mrs Godsell Wright. She will ensure that you are doing your best and that you are happy.

Mrs Town is the Special Education Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) That is a long title. My job is to help ensure that anyone who needs extra help with their learning gets the help they need.

We will come into your schools over June/ July and finding out a bit about you. In order to help us to find out about you and answer some of the questions that you have we will be sending a booklet to you in the next couple of weeks. This will tell you a bit about the school. I hope it answers some of your questions. We hope that you will fill this in and bring it when you come to Boroughbridge High School.

We want you to enjoy your time here and we hope that you are looking forward to joining us. I hope that you have had the chance to look at our website. There is a special page for new Year 6s – Year 6 Welcome
