Activities with employers :-

 Employer events in school – the most recent being a speed networking event with employers for all Yr. 10 students.   Students got to meet 10 large employers (international, national and local businesses) and interview them about their roles.  Students built up their skills and learnt about opportunities and how businesses and services work in their area

Enterprise Adviser at Boroughbridge High School

We value the support of our Careers Enterprise Adviser and Ambassador,  Lorraine Kirbitson.  Lorraine works for the North Yorkshire Construction Training Group. Her role involves improving business and people development by accessing grants and training. Lorraine is keen to help both staff and students to raise the profile of careers.  She regularly visits school and has been involved in our Speed Networking Events and delivering CPD to our staff.

We will be working with her to further develop opportunities for our students to meet employers, and to gain an understanding of what working in the workplace entails in 2022-23 and beyond.
