Students Support and Guidance

Do your research using Careers resources available to you online and in the library and form classrooms.  You will get more out of the support from the Careers Adviser, School staff and local education providers, employers and training providers if you have had a look.  If you are unsure where to start ask your form tutor or Careers Adviser.  There are websites which can help you even if you have no ideas at present – see useful websites section.

Remember to use eCLIPS our virtual careers libraryHow to access the eCLIPS careers library – you will have posters in your form room with the access code.  If you cannot access the website contact our Careers Adviser or form tutor for the code.  (Licence conditions prevent us posting the password on the website)

Contact the Careers Advisor

Mrs Morgan, our qualified careers adviser, can be found in the careers room in the corridor just past the lockers and cloakroom area.  She is in school one day a week – currently Thursdays.

To book an appointment speak to Mrs Town – Deputy Head/Career Lead who will know when Mrs Morgan’s next free appointment slots are.  There may be things you can do before the interview to ensure you get the most out of the meeting with Mrs Morgan – Mrs Town will signpost you to resources that will help you.  All students in KS 4 will be offered a careers interview with Mrs Morgan.

There will be support for students in KS3 from our adviser via a combination of group sessions, class sessions and information evenings.  If you still need support then Mrs Town will arrange a meeting with Mrs Morgan.

You can email the careers advisor at kmorgan@boroughbridgehigh.com

She can offer advice, help and feedback on:

  • Sixth Form
  • College
  • Apprenticeships
  • Higher Education
  • Work Experience
  • The World of Work and LMI (Labour Market Information).
